How to know easily which company you are in Business Central – using company Badges

One of the best features of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central from Sage is the fact that you can open multiple tabs within in one company and multiple companies all at once.

No logging out of one company into another.

Game-changer.

However there is a little risk to this feature and if you have done what is coming next you are not alone I know I have.

You can more easily post into the wrong company if you have a multiple companies open of at the same time.

There is a microsoft safeguard here that we are sharing on the blog.

What is a company badge?

A badge is like a logo or better described a icon that make it easier to identify what company you are in.

The badge can be a different colour making it stand out.

How to create one;

Head to the company information page (using the magnifying glass search option).

There is a company badge tab;

Name the company badge text – something short or whatever you know the company as.

Then choose a badge style/colour making it even easier to identify.

The badge is then shown at the top of every page in the right corner.

I adore this feature, clever small things you can do with business central, it really is the small things that make a difference to your software.

I hope you find this helpful.
